Updated 5/22/20

During this unprecedented time, RESCUEDohio is continuing to take extra precautions to keep our dogs, volunteers, adopters, and community safe. Shelters have become extremely overburdened, so we hope to continue our rescue efforts as long as possible, as safely as possible.  Our adoption events and community programs are still canceled until further notice.  We are only pursuing local adoptions at this time.  If you live outside of Columbus, your application can be put on hold until we resume normal operations.  No definitive timeline has been set.

If you have filled out an application with RO, you’ll be receiving additional information regarding your home visit and how RO will be working with our volunteers and applicants to take additional safety measures.  We thank you for your patience as we navigate through this unchartered territory.

RESCUEDohio’s mission is to help find homes for unwanted and abandoned dogs and to advocate for the rights of all animals everywhere.  We are a foster based organization, we do not have a physical location with hours of operation. All dogs are in foster homes primarily located in Columbus, Ohio.

We require all adopters to complete an application in its entirety before discussing the potential adoption of a dog.  For more information about RESCUEDohio and our process, please visit our FAQ page.

Congratulations to these dogs and their Furever Families!
